In Bengal virtual rally, Amit Shah highlights Centre’s direct transfer, lists failures of Mamata govt
The Home Minister said while democracy has strengthened its roots and has been consolidated in the entire country, West Bengal remains the only state where political violence is propagated.
New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, addressing a virtual rally in West Bengal on Tuesday, hit out at the Mamata government over political killings in the state and also for insulting the migrants by calling Sharmik special trains as ‘Corona Express’. He blasted CM Mamata Banerjee for not allowing the implementation of Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Shah lists achievements of Modi govt
In the virtual rally, Amit Shah highlighted how Modi government successfully sent direct benefits to the people, especially the poorest of the poor, over the past six years.
Shah said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had sent gas cylinders to 8 crore mothers and 2.5 crore households got free electricity. 10 crore toilets were built and 2.5 crore houses were constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna.

“Rs 72,000 crore was sent to bank accounts of 9.5 crore farmers through the PM Kisan Samman programme,” Shah said.
Talking about measures put in place amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Shah said 8.7 crore people got Rs 16,000 crore through Kisan Samman Nidhi, while Rs 30,000 crore was sent to Jan Dhan accounts of 20 crore women.
PM @Narendramodi has credited about ₹72,000cr directly in the account of 9.5crore farmers through PM-KISAN.

Shah blasts Mamata govt for political violence in state

“Bengal is the only state where communal violence is still ongoing. It should stop. I assure you that BJP isn’t here just to bring a revolution or do politics, but also build a cultural and traditional Bengal again. We want to create Sonar Bangla again,” Shah said.
‘These Migrants Will Ensure Your Exit’
Taking a swipe at Banerjee, Shah said: “Mamata Banerjee insulted migrants by calling ‘Shramik Special’ trains ‘Corona Express’. These migrants will now ensure your exit from power.”

Opposing CAA will cost mamata Banerjee dearly: Amit Shah
Amit Shah said that Mamata banerjee needs to come clean on why she is opposing the CAA.

“What is your problem if Namshudras and other such communities live respectfully in the country? People of Bengal are asking you this question as well. You will have to answer,” he said, adding the opposing the act will cost her dearly.

Amit Shah said that Mamata Banerjee keeps asking for the account of the Modi government’s work.

“I have come here with all the detais,” he said. “She (Mamata) should address a press conference and present the account of her government’s 10 years works,” he said.
