New Delhi: In yet another innovative step, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered to transform all the Community Health Centers (CHCs) and Primary Health Centers (PHCs) on the lines of ‘Operation Kayakalp’ that will improve the rural health services.

In this regard, CM Yogi has instructed, “Special action should be expedited to ensure adequate availability of manpower, medicines, activation of medical equipment, hygiene of the health center premises and dyeing and painting in CHCs and PHCs of all the districts.”

While addressing a high level meeting on Thursday, he asked to strengthen the Health and Medical Education Department on the lines of ‘Operation Kayakalp’, which was so far focused on renovation of primary schools in the state.

For this, the chief minister has asked his officials to set up a special team which will monitor the growth and execution of this campaign.

‘Operation Kayakalp’ will not affect the emergency health services in the state as they will continue to function as normal.

It is worth mentioning that there are a total of 3011 PHCs, 592 urban PHCs and 855 CHCs in UP. The CM said, “If health services are better at a village level, then people will not have to face any kind of problems.”
