India Post GDS Recruitment 2022: 10th pass candidates can get jobs against 38926 vacancies

The government of India invited applications to fill the 38,926 posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) as Branch Post Master (BPM), Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM) and Dak Sevak.

New Delhi: The government of India invited applications to fill the 38,926 posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) as Branch Post Master (BPM), Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM), and Dak Sevak. Those who are interested can apply online from the official website appost.in. The vacancies are open for candidates in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal.

Important dates for GDS:

The application started on May 2, 2022, and candidates can submit the application till June 5, 2022.

Fees Details for GDS:

Candidates who belong to the General/OBC category will pay Rs 100

All female candidates and PwD, Transwomen candidates, SC/ST candidates do not need to submit any fee.

Selection Process for GDS:

The selection process will primarily be held on the Merit list.

Age Limti for GDS:

The maximum age limit for application submission is 40 years while the minimum is 18 years. However, the age relaxation is available for SC/ST/OBC/ PWD/PH candidates.

Education criteria:

-Candidates need to be passed Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard having passed in Mathematics and English conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories in India shall be mandatory educational qualification for all approved categories of GDS or equivalent from a recognized Board/ Univeristy/ Institution.

-The candidate need to be studied the local language (Name of Local language) at least up to the 10th standard.

-For all GDS posts, candidates should have knowledge of cycling.
