J&K Police rescue 3-year-old boy crying over body of his grandfather killed in cross-firing, heart-melting pics go viral

According to the details, the child was the grandson of the 60-year-old civilian who had lost his life in the terrorist attack in Sopore. 

New Delhi: Police rescued a three-year-old boy from getting hit by bullets during a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore on Wednesday. Picture of a police officer holding the child, at the spot where the terrorist attack was reported, was shared on social media.

The child was present at the spot at the time of the attack and was later rescued by a cop. According to the details, the child was the grandson of the 60-year-old civilian who had lost his life in the terrorist attack in Sopore.

Cop saved boy from getting hit by bullet

As the militants opened fire and security forces retaliated, the boy and his grandfather happened to be passing by the area. The man suffered two bullet injuries and died on the spot. The clueless child was then seen crying over his grandfather’s body covered in blood.

In a heart-melting picture, a policeman can be seen holding the kid in his arms and trying to cheer him up.

Kashmir Zone Police tweeted:

“JKP #rescued a three years old boy from getting hit by bullets during #terrorist #attack in #Sopore. @JmuKmrPolice (sic),” a tweet by the Kashmir Zone Police read.

Earlier in the day, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan and a civilian lost their lives after terrorists fired upon a CRPF patrolling party in Sopore. Two of the injured CRPF jawans are known to be in critical condition.
