New Delhi: Days after Chandigarh University was rocked by filming of obscene videos in girls bathroom, a similar incidence was reported from Kanpur hostel. The hostel staff has been arrested by the cops as he was caught recording intimate videos of girls while taking shower in bathroom.
The incident reportedly happened in a hostel located in Kanpur’s Tulsi Nagar area, where medical aspirants are staying.
The accused staff reportedly made videos of girls when they were taking bath. He was arrested after some girl students reported the matter to police.
Protests erupted outside the hostel as girls gathered on the streets and are demanding stringent punishment for the accused. Police administration is trying pacify the protesting girls and assuring that strict action will be taken against the person.
As per the complaint, the accused has made several obscene videos of the girls. On Thursday, while he was filming a girl taking bath, one of the girls caught him red handed and snatched his phone. Chaos broke out after she found that couple of other girls were also recorded in his phone. Reports said that he used to record obscene videos by sneaking his phone through the damaged door.
A senior police officer is said to be the owner of this hostel where more than 60 girl students are staying and preparing for competitive medical examinations. They come from various districts of the state.
ACP Kalyanpur Dinesh Shukla told a new channel that a case has been registered after girls approached the police. Investigation into the matter has begun.
