Rahul Gandhi’s press conference after losing Lok Sabha membership
While Congress has announced a fightback and is calling it a black day for Indian democracy, BJP holds the stand that everything was done as per the laws.
New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi was disqualified from Lok Sabha after he was convicted in a criminal defamation case in Surat court. He was sentenced to two years for his remarks saying ‘all Modis are thieves’. While Congress has announced a fightback and is calling it a black day for Indian democracy, BJP holds the stand that everything was done as per the laws.
Rahul Gandhi held a press conference at AICC headquarters at 1 pm to express his views on the same.
Yesterday, the Congress leader shared a tweet saying that he is fighting for the voice of India and is ready to pay any cost.
मैं भारत की आवाज़ के लिए लड़ रहा हूं।
मैं हर कीमत चुकाने को तैयार हूं।

# On the remark that got him convicted, he said that he cannot talk about the legal matter here but whatever he says, he says after giving it a thought.
# Answering the questions by the press, he stated that he has been disqualified from Lok Sabha as the Prime Minister was scared of his next speech in the Parliament.
# He alleges that the whole ‘game’ is to distract from the Adani issue.
# He said that he is not afraid to raise questions and fight for democracy, even if they disqualify him or put him in jail.
# I wrote letters to the Speaker which were not answered, then I went to his chamber where he said I cannot allow: Rahul
I have said many times before that democracy is being attacked in the country. We are seeing examples of this each day. I asked questions in the Parliament regarding the relationship between PM Modi and Adani: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi pic.twitter.com/qUTdW4K4Rf
