New Delhi: With the conclusion of the 7th and last voting for Lok Sabha Elections 2024, several prominent pollsters including Chanakya, CVoter, and MyAxis India amongst others have released their respective Maharashtra Exit exit polls 2024, offering predictions of the likely outcome of the election in the country’s second most populous state. The official result of the elections will be declared by the ECI on June 4th, 2024.

Voting For Lok Sabha Elections in Maharastra

The voting for the Lok Sabha Elections in Maharastra unfolded in 5 separate phases across 48 constituencies on 19 April,26 April, 7 May, 13 May, and 20th May. About 5.70 crore voters out of a total of 9.29 crore came out to cast their votes in the state, taking the final voter turnout to a record low of  56.89%.

Contesting the elections together as a part of the INDIA alliance, Uddhav Thakrey’s Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and Sharadchandra Pawar Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) fought on 21, 17, and 10 seats respectively.

On the other hand, BJP, Ajit Pawar’s NCP, and Eknath Shinde’s Shivsena fighting the election as NDA, competed on 28, 5, and 14 seats respectively.

Unlike the 2019 General Elections, Most Exit polls projected intense competition between the BJP-led NDA and Congress-led INDIA Alliance in Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in Maharashtra.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), formed by BJP and Shiv Sena won 41 out of 48 seats in Maharastra, establishing its overwhelming dominance in the state.

Meanwhile, the Congress-led UPA managed to emerge victorious on merely 5 seats (1 Congress & 4 NCP), leaving only two seats for the remaining parties like AIMIM and other independent candidates.
