New Delhi: Meme man Bhupendra Jogi, who gained massive popularity amongst netizens after a reel featuring him went viral on social media, recently faced a dangerous knife attack by two unidentified attackers in Bhopal’s New Market area.
According to the reports, the incident allegedly unfolded on Tuesday when Jogi was returning home from his garments store at around 9: PM.
Interrupting his peaceful ride back home, two masked men quietly approached him from behind and attacked him with their knives in the blink of an eye.
In a bid to defend himself against the aggressors, Bhupendra fought back but ended up suffering multiple injuries on his hands. Meanwhile, both the accused fled from the scenes immediately after attacking him.
Later, the social media sensation went to the hospital where he received the required treatment and got over 37 stitches.

In one of his recently shared Instagram posts, Bhupdenra recalled the entire incident while speaking to a reporter, urging everyone to help him get justice.
He said.”I was going home after closing my shop on Activa when two men, equipped with knives, attacked and stabbed me from behind.” The video features him lying on the hospital bed, receiving treatment for his injuries.

Meanwhile, a few hours after the attack, Bhupendra also shared a story on Instagram in which he once again pleaded with the netizens to help him trace the culprits.
The message in his story read, “I am Bhupendra Jogi, yesterday at 9:30 PM when I was returning home from my shop, some people attacked me with a knife at the Roshanpura intersection(100 meters away from the police station) due to which I got 37 stitches on my body.
“After attacking they ran away easily and till now no one has been able to trace him. Please all of you are requested to help me in finding these people or help me in getting justice” it continued.
Police Case Filled
Speaking on the matter, a police official later disclosed that both the unidentified attackers have been booked for attempted murder under section 307 of the IPC at Arera Hills police station.
He further informed that the authorities are also taking the help of the CCTV footage to identify the attackers but are yet to get any credible clue about them.
