Nadda attacks Mamata govt’s ‘anti-Hindu mindset’, demands answers on political killings in state

Nadda said, “I was happy that lockdown was lifted on July 31, but what was the cause for imposing lockdown on August 5 – the day of Ram Janambhoomi pujan. It is nothing but politics of appeasement and vote bank.”

New Delhi: Launching a fierce attack on the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal, BJP President JP Nadda accused the West Bengal CM of minority appeasement politics.

“On August 5, the foundation stone of Ram Temple was laid. It was the wish of crores of Indians to be part of ‘Shilanyas’ as done by PM Modi, on local level but it is very sad that Mamata didi imposed a lockdown in the state.
However, on July 31, on Bakri Eid, the lockdown was lifted. This vote bank and appeasement politics which creates anti-Hindu mindset is Mamata didi’s politics in West Bengal,” Nadda said while addressing West Bengal BJP state executive meeting via video conference.

Nadda further said, “I was happy that lockdown was lifted on July 31, but what was the cause for imposing lockdown on August 5. It is the politics of appeasement and vote bank.”

“I urge party members to make people aware of this politics of vote bank and appeasement by Mamata ji. Tell people that she does not have affection for people of the state and she does politics for the sake of maintaining her position,” he added.

Nadda also raked up the issue of political killings in the state. Demanding answers from Didi, he said, the “champions of democracy” were silent on the “death of more than 100 BJP activists”. The saffron party has claimed that hundreds of BJP workers have been killed, and around 2,000 party workers falsely implicated and put behind bars.

He also accused Mamata of being “a barrier between the people of Bengal and the govt schemes that would benefit the needy”.

Mamata visits Rajabazar area in Kolkata; urges people to stay at home

“Ayushman Bharat, a Rs 5 lakh medical coverage for the poor provided by PM Modi, has not been received by 4.57 crore eligible people in Bengal, only due to Mamata didi. She did not allow PM KISAN Credit Card to reach the farmers in the state, keeping them away from massive benefits. She renamed PM-Awas Yojana to Banglar Awas Yojana – took money from PM Modi, but she tried & take all credit for it. She did the same with PM Grameen Sadak Yojana!” he said.
