Taking this incident into consideration, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered action against the accused under NSA.

New Delhi: Amid nationwide coronavirus lockdown in the country, health workers, who had gone for a check-up of coronavirus suspects were attacked in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad. As per reports, the stone had been pelted on an ambulance carrying patients, police personnel and health workers. Some vehicles were also vandalised in the incident.

Ambulance driver said– “When our team boarded ambulance with patient, suddenly crowd emerged & started pelting stones. Some doctors are still there. We are injured,”

Taking this incident into consideration, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered action against the accused under NSA.

It has been informed by the Chief Minister’s Office that ‘CM Yogi, taking cognizance of the incident in Moradabad, said that the doctors and personnel of the Health Department are all officers / employees involved in all cleanliness operations, all police officers and police personnel engaged in security.

In the hour of disaster, day and night, they are engaged in service work. Attacking police personnel, health workers and personnel associated with cleanliness campaign is an unforgivable crime, which is strongly condemned. Action will be taken against such guilty persons under the Disaster Control Act and National Security Act (NSA).
