New Delhi: With a scoop full of controversies, head-turning drama, and exciting pitches, Shark Tank India Season 2 is ruling television and Twitter alike. However, if one thing is being just as talked about much as the business show, it is the absence of former judge Ashneer Grover.
Mind you, it wasn’t a sweet farewell. Hence, the tension between the current sharks and Ashneer Grover is still palpable. Neither of the parties likes to hold their tongues so the war of words is going back and forth.
Let’s look at those 5 times when sharks threw shade at Ashneer Grover
1. Go Watch Bigg Boss
Ever since Ashneer Grover was snubbed out from the show, his fans have been saying that the show isn’t the same without him. One such unsatisfied fan had a run in with Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal.
Anupam posted a funny video from the show on his Instagram, where a user commented,” Since Ashneer Grover ji isn’t in the show, it’s not fun anymore.”
To which Anupam responded by saying, “Go watch Bigg Boss then.” Uff! The subtle nudge at Ashneer Grover.
2. Toxicity is out of the show
Namita Thapar targeted Ashneer Grover indirectly during an interview. When she was asked what makes season 2 better, she said ” Toxicity is out.” With her comment, Namita hinted that Ashneer’s presence made the show toxic.
3. Dramatic Shoes
Car Dekho founder Amit Jain, who was brought in as the replacement of Ashneer Grover, called the former ‘dramatic’ indirectly.
Talking about taking Ashneer’s place, Amit said that there is nothing like walking in dramatic shoes.
4. The show won’t be impacted
Suger cosmetics founder Vineeta Singh said in an interview that Ashneer’s fall-off with the channel is not going to impact the show. “Season 2 would be phenomenal.” She added.
Although on a sweet note, she said that she will miss Ashneer.
5. Contestants aren’t humiliated anymore
It seems that Anupam Mittal can’t stop taking a jab at Ashneer Grover. Known for his straightforward style, Anupam said that in the first season, pitchers were humiliated. He went further saying that now (in the second season) we respect the contestants for their innovation.
At whom was he hinting? It’s no mystery.
