Pay attention to crime-ridden Rajasthan: Rajyavardhan Rathore tells Rahul after priest set ablaze

“As per the data of the National Crime Records Bureau, Rajasthan stands at the first position as far as crimes against women are concerned. I urge Rahul Gandhi, who indulges in political tourism to BJP-ruled states, to pay attention to Rajasthan,” said Rajyavardhan Rathore.

New Delhi: Hours after news broke out that a temple priest was set ablaze alive in Karauli district of Rajasthan, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore today asked Rahul Gandhi to pay attention to the Congress-ruled state, where crimes have been steadily rising.

Rathore slammed Rahul Gandhi for paying scant regard to lawlessness in Rajasthan, a Congress ruled state and indulging in political tourism in BJP-ruled state.

“As per the data of the National Crime Records Bureau, Rajasthan stands at the first position as far as crimes against women are concerned. I urge Rahul Gandhi, who indulges in political tourism to BJP-ruled states, to pay attention to Rajasthan,” said Rathore in a strongly worded statement.

“Nobody is safe in Rajasthan today: neither women nor children, not even priests. A government which stays at a five-star hotel for months can protect only itself; it can’t protect the public. Rajasthan is getting a bad name,” he added.
