PM Modi denounces terrorist attack on gurdwara in Kabul

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday criticised the terrorist attack at Karte Parwan Gurdwara in Afghanistan’s Kabul.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday criticised the terrorist attack at Karte Parwan Gurdwara in Afghanistan’s Kabul. PM took to Twitter to denounce the brutal attack that claimed the life of two civilians, including a Sikh Man and a Muslim Security guard.

In his tweet, PM Modi prayed for the safety and well-being of the devotees.

”Shocked by the cowardly terrorist attack against the Karte Parwan Gurudwara in Kabul. I condemn this barbaric attack and pray for the safety and well-being of the devotees,” said PM Modi in his tweet.

The Home Ministry of Afghanistan also confirmed the incident. The Ministry’s spokesperson said the guard was killed in the crossfire.

It is also reported that seven people have also received injuries in the attack.

Earlier in the day, the Minister of External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also condemned the attack on the gurudwara.

He added that the Ministry is closely monitoring developments since it received the news of the coward attack.

”The cowardly attack on Gurudwara Karte Parwan should be condemned in the strongest terms by all. We have been closely monitoring developments since the news of the attack was received. Our first and foremost concern is for the welfare of the community,” tweeted S. Jainshankar.
