
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting in Shillong ahead of the Meghalaya Elections 2023.
PM Modi said whenever he thinks about Meghalaya, he thinks about the talented people and the vibrant traditions. He said he is in Shillong with a message of hope and development.
PM Modi said the nation is scaling new heights of success and Meghalaya is making a strong contribution to it.
He also said “Meghalaya Maange BJP Saarkar” (state is asking for BJP government).

PM Modi said the sentiment in support of BJP in Meghalaya, and also in other North East states, is a result of the selfish act by a few families.

He also paid floral tributes to three freedom fighters of Meghalaya – U Tirot Sing, U Kiang Nangbah and Pa Togan Sangma in Shillong.

PM Modi is also scheduled to address a public rally in Tura.
This was PM Modi’s first visit to Meghalaya in 2023.
Meghalaya Elections 2023:
The state will go to polls on February 27 and the counting of votes will be done on March 2.
