New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Tent City’ built on the banks of river Ganga in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

PM Narendra Modi called it a  landmark moment. He said it will herald a new age of tourism in India.

What is Kashi Tent city?

The tent city is built on a 100-hectare plot opposite Varanasi’s ghats near Ramnagar. It will provide the travellers with a five-star rated feel as they stay here.

According to the reports of ANI, the Kashi tent city will be able to accommodate 200 people.

The Kashi Tent City features Swiss chalets organised into three categories: Ganga Darshan Villas, premium tents, and ultra-luxury tents, said  Varanasi Development Authority (VDA) authorities.

Prices of Kashi Tent city
The Premium and Super Delux tents can be reserved for Rs 14,000 and 12,000, respectively. The tents of both Premium and Super Delux will be 500 square feet in size.
