PM Modi to visit Karnataka on February 6, inaugurate International Conference on India Energy Week

New Delhi: CM Basavaraj Bommai, while talking to the press, told that PM Narendra Modi will be visiting Karnataka on February 6. He added that the PM will inaugurate International Conference on India Energy Week in Bengaluru and a helicopter manufacturing unit (HAL) at Tumkuru.

Over 1000 exhibitors from over 50 countries will attend the conference. PM Modi will also lay the foundation for Jal Jeevan Mission projects at Chikka Nayakana Halli and Tiptur.

PM also visited the poll-bound state twice in the month of January. On January 12, PM Modi inaugurated a five-day National Youth Festival in Hubballi-Dharwad. He held a roadshow to inaugurate the festival, which witnessed the participation of about 7000 youths from across the country, on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

On January 19, the Prime Minister dedicated the Narayanapura left bank irrigation canal modernisation project to the nation. The Left bank canal after Narayanapura reservoir on Krishna river in Vijayapura district is modernised to improve water use efficiency, reduce water loss in the command area and deliver water to the tail end users. He also distributed title deeds of new revenue villages to the Banjara community at Malkhed.

The same day, he also visited Maharashtra to lay the foundation of various developmental projects.

BJP President JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah also paid their visits to Karnataka. The party is preparing for the state assembly elections this year. The last elections were held in May 2018 and are likely to be held in the same month this year.
