Indian G20 scripts history with 100 percent consensus G20 Declaration

New Delhi: In the Bharat Mandapam, where the G20 summit is currently taking place, Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted delegates from the G20 states as well as the participating countries and international organizations.

In the Pragati Maidan neighbourhood of New Delhi, PM Modi greeted the delegates as they arrived at the Bharat Mandapam and shook their hands.

On December 1 of last year, India took over the G20 presidency, and over 200 G20 meetings were scheduled across 60 locations in India. The 18th G20 Summit is the culmination of all G20 processes and gatherings that take place among ministers, senior officials, and civil societies throughout the year.

  • G20 has been renamed to G21 after the inclusion of the African Union in G20. There are 55 total member states in the African Union, which will now be part of G21.

  • PM Modi gives the mantra of, “Everyone’s cooperation, everyone’s development,” in his first speech.

  • PM Modi, before beginning the summit, expressed his condolences for Morocco and the people who lost their lives during this heartbreaking incident.
