New Delhi: The Baghpat Police received a big jolt today, as rape survivor disappeared from their custody while on way to hospital. The rape survivor was being taken for medical check-up but her sudden disappearance threw the cops in a tizzy.
Being caught off guard, the UP cops rushed around to find the rape survivor for 2 hours but to no avail. Some reports said that the woman was kidnapped by miscreants from e-rickshaw following which the Baghpat police invited much flak for the fiasco.
The woman, a resident of Baloni region in Baghpat had lodged a rape complaint last night. The accused was on the run and the cops are tracking his whereabouts.
Cong trains guns at Yogi govt
However, Congress latched on to the issue to train guns at the Yogi government. It slammed the Uttar Pradesh govt, not just for lawlessness but also careless and insensitive conduct of the state police.

Without confirming the incident, UP Congress alleged that the rape survivor was abducted by miscreants while she was on way for medical check. It also took potshots at the Yogi government for such ‘loss of face’.
UP cops ‘expose’ Cong canard
Hours after the episode created flutter in political circles, the Uttar Pradesh police took to Twitter to set records straight. Elaborating on the incident, it said that the woman has been traced.

“She was not abducted or kidnapped but went away with a relative without informing the woman constable who was accompanying her,” UP cops said.
UP police was caught off guard and rightfully drew flak for the incident but Congress using the opportune moment to target the UP government.
