New Delhi: Jailed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain has been admitted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital after he fainted inside Tihar washroom.
Tihar Jail administration said that Satyendar Jain was admitted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital after he slipped and fell in the bathroom at Tihar Jail last night (Wednesday, May 24).
Tihar Jail administration further said that the minister has suffered minor injuries and has been brought for a checkup.
Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Sources said that Satyendar Jain felt dizzy and fell in the bathroom.
According to reports, this is for the second time in a week that AAP leader has been admitted to the hospital due to health complications.
Currently, Satyendar Jain is lodged in Tihar jail in connection with a money laundering case. The money laundering case is being probed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
According to Satyendar Jain’s lawyer, he has lost around 35 kilograms while in custody.
Earlier, when Satyendra Jain was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital, after he complained about ill health, Dehi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took to twitter to offer prayers for his colleague.
