New Delhi: A showcause notice has been issued to Superintendent of Jail No. 7, Tihar Jail, for transferring two prisoners to the cell of Former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain.

Prison Official said that inmates were immediately transferred back.

Satyendar Jain, who was arrested last year has been in high-security jail. On May 11, he had written a letter and requested the prison administration to lodge him with more inmates in a letter.

He cited depression & need for more social interactions.

In the letter, he said that he was feeling depressed and low because of loneliness.

In the letter, he also mentioned two names.

After this, two prisoners were shifted to the former minister’s cell by the Superintendent of jail no 7.

Soon the administration came to know about it, they were immediately shifted back to their respective cells.

Official said that the decision to move to prisoners in Satyendar Jain cell was taken without discussing the matter with the jail administration.

This move has also raised security concern.
