Slippers hurled at former Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee, VIDEO surfaces

“I came here to hit Partha with my shoes. He has built apartment after apartment and accumulated so much wealth. While people are looking for jobs, he has cheated so many people and is travelling in AC cars. He must be dragged with a rope. It is not only my anger but of lakhs of people of West Bengal,” Ghorui told reporters.

New Delhi: In a public display of anger, a woman flung slippers at the former Bengal Minister Partha Chatterjee outside the ESI hospital on Tuesday. The incident happened when the ED sleuths took the ex-minister Partha & his close associate Arpita Mukherjee for a medical check up at the hospital.

The slipper thrown by the enraged woman missed Chatterjee by a whisker. She was identified as Shubra Ghorui.

Later speaking to media, the woman said that he must be dragged with a rope for duping so many people & himself enjoying the comforts.

The woman further said, “He looted the poor and bought flats and AC cars for himself. He should be tied up and dragged on the streets.”

Former Bengal minister is the key accused in the multi-crore West Bengal school jobs scam. He along with Arpita is accused of amassing enormous wealth by duping gullible candidates.

Earlier in the day, Partha’s close aide Ankita denied amassing money at her flats.

Arpita said, “The money does not belong to me, it was kept there in my absence”.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had recovered more than Rs 50 crores in cash from her houses.

Both Partha and Arpita are in ED custody in connection with the SSC recruitment scam case. TMC first dropped him from cabinet and all part posts and later also suspended from the party for bringing a blot on party.

Chatterjee and Mukherjee both have claimed that the money recovered from their custody doesn’t belong to them.
