New Delhi: Shankaracharya of Jyotishpeeth, Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati passed away at the age of 99 in Madhaya Pradesh’s Narsinghpur.
He died following prolonged illness at Narsinghpur district’s Shridham of MP.
According to reports, Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati died after suffering a minor heart attack . He breathed his last at 3:50 in the ashram today (Sunday, September 11).
The funeral of Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati will take place on Monday (September 12).

He was born in September 2nd, 1924.
It was in the year 1982, when Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati became the Shankaracharya of Dwarka Sharada Peetham in Dwaraka, Gujarat and the Jyotir Math in Badrinath.
