Tamil Nadu Road Accident: Multiple Trucks collision leaves 4 dead in Tamil Nadu’s Dharampuri, disturbing video surfaces

Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin has announced Rs 2 lakh compensation to the families of those who lost their lives in the fatal accident

New Delhi: A fatal road accident claimed at least 4 lives while leaving 8 severely injured in Tamil Nadu’s Dharampuri district on Wednesday.

The unfortunate incident occurred on an elevated highway at Thouupr Ghat Road when a speeding truck lost control and rammed into another truck from behind, causing it to catch fire & collide with a third truck which then fell off the bridge due to the impact.  Besides this, one car was also crushed between two of the three trucks involved in the brutal collision. Following the accident, the fire department immediately dispatched fire trucks who rushed to the scene & extinguished the burning vehicle’s fire.

Now a chilling CCTV video of the entire tragic happening is doing rounds on the internet & triggering responses from the netizens.

With the disturbing video of the unfortunate road accident surfacing on social media, netizens are taking to the comment section, questioning the authorities over the implementation of the Sanctioned elevated highway at Thoppur Ghat section in Dharmapuri.

While some are claiming that the accident occurred due to one of the truck driver’s impatience, others are questioning the training these truck drivers are given.

Speaking on the same one user wrote, “More the reason why we are insisting on the speedy implementation of the Sanctioned elevated highway at Thoppur Ghat section in Dharmapuri.” Another one said, “Impatient driver like him will make the same mistake irrespective of the road.” A third man questioned, “Why is a trailer going at such speed? What kind of training do these truckers have?’

MK Stalin Announces Compensation

Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin has announced Rs 2 lakh compensation to the families of those who lost their lives in the fatal accident. The CM has also declared a relief of Rs 50,000 for the persons who had been hospitalized after getting injured due to the mishap.
