The move to raise stipend of medical interns is a welcome step as it is one of the highest monthly allowance by any state government.
The Chief Minister has ordered immediate implementation of this decision.
One of the states which pays lowest internship stipend to medical interns is Congress-ruled Rajasthan. Here, the MBBS and BDS students get only Rs 7,000 as monthly stipend.
