UP logs sharp decline in new Covid-19 cases: 15,000 cases in past 24 hrs, lowest in 15 days

On instructions of CM Yogi, the Phase III of the COVID-19 vaccination to defeat the invisible enemy, is being conducted in a planned and organised manner.

New Delhi: The stringent T3 testing mechanism adopted by the Yogi-led government in Uttar Pradesh has given a major boost to the state’s battle against the second wave of pandemic as the Active Covid Cases dropped drastically below the 2 lakh-mark for the first time since the end of last month on Friday.

The active Covid cases have been reduced by more than one lakh seventeen thousand from its peak which went up to 3,10,784 cases on April 30, and has now come down to 1,93,815.

As Uttar Pradesh under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marches forward towards its victory in the fight against the deadly virus, the success is attributed to the aggressive T3 testing mechanism- ‘Test, Track and Treat’ for the better and improving recovery rate in the state, which has also earned praise nationally and globally.

Recoveries exceed fresh cases, for 13th day in a row

Flattening the curve, the state for the thirteenth consecutive day recorded more daily recoveries than the number of fresh cases — in the same span of time.

A total of 15,747 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, the lowest in fifteen days whereas, the number of recoveries was 26,179, which is over ten thousand more than the fresh covid cases.

In order to ‘Break The Chain’ of the transmission, the state under its rigorous T3 regime conducted over 2.63 lakh Covid tests in the last 24 hours, out of which, as many as 1,21,000 were RT PCR examinations.

UP, 1st state to administer over 1.45 crore vaccine jab

Emerging as a leader in terms of the number of fully vaccinated people, more than 1.45 crore doses of vaccine have been administered in Uttar Pradesh till now.

CM Yogi reviews Covid dry run

With 1,14,67,023 people successfully receiving their first dose and a total of 31,16,480 getting their second dose of the Covid vaccine, the immunisation programme across Uttar Pradesh is being conducted on a war-footing mode.

A total of 3,15,532 doses of vaccine have been administered to people aged 18-44 across 18 districts of the state. To ramp up the vaccination drive further, people aged 18-44 will also be inoculated at all the divisional headquarters from Monday, May 17 onwards.
