New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a 15-year-old girl was shot dead for turning down a man’s proposal in Uttar Pradesh’s Bhadohi, police said.
The victim has been identified as Anuradha Bind. She was shot while she was returning home on Wednesday from a coaching institute with her cousin Nisha when the accused, a 22-year-old, Arvind Vishwakarma shot her in the head.
According to the police, the victim died on the spot.
Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar said the Initial probe revealed that the accused Anuradha Bind had proposed to the teenage girl who denied it. Following this, he shot her.
A case has been registered and a search to nab the accused and further investigation is underway.
