Uttar Pradesh: Groom kills army friend in celebratory firing at wedding procession (VIDEO)

New Delhi: In a shocking incident a wedding event turned into a crime spot after a person was killed during the celebratory firing. The incident is said to have occurred in the Brahmnagar area of Sonbhadra district.

The incident was captured on camera.

The groom has been identified as Manish Madheshia, who can be seen on a chariot and several people surrounding him While the groom was firing as part of celebrations the bullet hit his friend and Army jawan, Babu Lal Yadav.

Also, the gun which was being used by the groom belonged to Yadav.

After the tragic incident, Sonbhadra Superintendent of Police Amrendra Pratap Singh had confirmed that the groom and the victim were friends.

Soon after the incident, Yadav was rushed to the hospital but he died during treatment.

An FIR was registered against the groom by victim’s family and he has been arrested.

Meanwhile, the gun which was used for the firing was also seized.

Celebratory firing at public gatherings with licensed guns is a criminal offence in India.
