Vedanta signs MoU: PM Modi says ‘important step accelerating India’s semi-conductor manufacturing ambitions’

The MoU was signed today at a function held in Gandhinagar in the presence of Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said in a Tweet that the MoU signed by Vedanta and Foxconn  with the Gujarat government to set up the unit in the state is an important step accelerating India’s semi-conductor manufacturing ambitions.

He said the investment of Rs 1.54 Lakh crore will create a significant impact to boost economy and jobs.

PM Modi further said in his tweet this will also create a huge ecosystem for ancillary industries and help our MSMEs.
