Viral video: Man slaps security guard for allegedly asking his identity, netizens say, “Gareeb se badtamizi”

The video of the alarming incident, which allegedly took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi district, is now going viral on the internet

New Delhi: In the last few years, the country has seen a major spike in cases related to the assault of security guards and other blue-collar workers by the rich residents of the housing societies.

From physical attacks to verbal abuse, the security workers have often faced a lot of harassment at the hands of short-tempered people hailing from privileged families who see the poor as soft targets for venting out their frustration and anger.

In one such recently occurred case, a middle-aged security guy was brutally abused and slapped by a man after he questioned him about his identity and told him to get inside from the backdoor.

The video of the alarming incident, which allegedly took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi district, is now going viral on the internet.

The video of the disturbing incident was shared on Twitter (Now X) by a user Shushant Mukherjee who dropped it along with a captain which read, “It is easy to show power in front of a weak helpless person. In UP’s Varanasi, this man abused and slapped a guard who asked him to show his identity” “I just want to ask would he (the man) dare to do the same to any powerful person? I guess we all know the answer to this.”

Soon after Shushant dropped the video, it spread like wildfire on social media, triggering a lot of reactions from the netizens.

While some slammed the guy for abusing a poor security guard, others criticized the law and order situation saying that there is no justice for the weak in this country.

Taking to the comment section, One user wrote, “Arrest this man.” Another one added, “isko turant arrest Karo gareeb security guard pe haath utha raha hai.”
