New Delhi: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee rides pillion on electric scooter ridden by Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim to protest petrol price rise.
Mamata Banerjee said,”Modi govt only makes false promises, has done nothing to bring down fuel prices.”
“There was demonetisation, fuel prices are rising. Modi government is selling everything in the country. From BSNL to Coal everything in the country is being sold. This is an anti-people, anti-youth, anti-farmer government,” she further said.
Meanwhile, petrol was sold at Rs 91.20 per litre in Kolkata today. In Mumbai, the rates breached Rs 97 mark.

The TMC supremo had slammed the BJP-led central government over the rising fuel price. She said, “They (BJP) are increasing LPG and diesel prices every day. It is a matter of concern. Central government will only reduce the prices for few days when the elections are round at the corner,” Banerjee said.
The Assembly election for 294 Assembly seats in West Bengal are slated to take place in April-May. However, the Election Commission is yet to announce the final dates.
This is a developing story.
