Watch: Drunk man turns steering wheel of bus in Mumbai, leaves 9 injured & one dead 

The unfortunate accident also took the life of a young lady named Nupur Manyar, who was an employee of the Income Tax Department.

New Delhi: Mumbai police recently arrested a middle-aged man who caused a fatal road accident in the Lalbaug area on Sunday night that not only left several injured but also claimed one innocent life.

According to the reports, the accused, identified as Datta Murlidhar Shinde (40), was traveling inside Mumbai’s best bus in a highly intoxicated state of mind when all of a sudden, he grabbed the vehicle’s steering wheel and turned it around in a blink of an eye.

This reckless act of Dutta caused the entire Bus to lose balance and despite the driver’s best efforts to regain its control, the heavy vehicle ended up hitting multiple four-wheelers and a two-wheeler, causing serious injuries to over 9 people.

Additionally, the unfortunate accident also took the life of a young lady named Nupur Manyar, who was an employee of the Income Tax Department.

After getting injured by the Bus, Nupur, a resident of Mumbai’s Lalbaugh area, was rushed to KEM Hospital where she breathed her last at the age of 28.

As her dad has already passed away during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, the woman is now survived by her mother and a younger sister.

Meanwhile, speaking about the incident, Kalachowki police station’s senior police inspector Sanjay Mohite informed that all 9 unfortunate incident victims have sustained major injuries and their treatment is currently underway at the KEM Hospital.
