New Delhi: Karnataka residents and Hindu groups protesting over BJP Yuva Morcha leader’s brutal killing in the state, surrounded Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel’s car and aggressively jolted it, registering their anger at the incident.

The incident reportedly took place when the lawmaker arrived at the sight to pay his respect to the deceased. The video of a large crowd of protesters heckling Kateel and jolting his car went viral on social media.

Various organizations are holding protests after a BJP worker Praveen Nettaru was attacked and killed while he was on his way back home on Tuesday night.

According to the police, Nettaru was returning from his poultry shop and want on his bike when two motorcycle-borne killers attacked him.

Locals informed the police, after which 32-year-old Praveen who was left bleeding on the road was rushed to the nearby hospital, wherein doctors declared him brought dead.

The local administration have formed 6 teams of police to nab the murderers, while atleast 15 persons have been detained for interrogation.

The brutal killing has drawn outrage and protests in Sullia and Bellare areas, with Vishwa Hindu Parishad calling a bandh across various regions of the state.

BJP youth wing workers in the state have further started mass resignation from the organization, claiming that the government have failed to provide security to the party members.
