New Delhi: A video of wife beating her husband on the ocassion of Karwa Chauth at a busy Ghaziabad market has gone viral on social media. The husband was trashed by his wife after he was caught red-handed shopping with his girlfriend on Thursday.
In the video that has been circulated on social media like a wildlife as the wife can be seen holding her husband by the collar and beats him up. At the same time a large crowd gathered at the spot.
Also, the shopkeeper of the shop where the incident took place can be heard shouting ‘baahar, baahar’, asking them leave the shop and take the matter outside the shop.
This happened when the man’s wife entered inside the shop with two women, and started to trash him. When his girlfriend tried to rescue him, she was also beaten.
According to media reports, the wife was staying with her partents after a fight with her husband. She caught her husband red handed =when she had gone shopping with her mother for Karwa Chauth, and spotted her husband with someone else.
A complaint was loged against the husband and police are looking into the matter, said the report.
Karwa Chauth is a Hindu festival which is celebrated by the married women for the long and prosperous life of their husbands. Karwa Chauth is observed on the fourth day of the Krishna Paksha, or dark fortnight, in the month of Kartik.
Karwa Chauth is basically celebrated in the northern and western parts of India.
