“When will Munawwar Rana leave Uttar Pradesh?”: Poet explains, praises CM Yogi Adityanath

“It is a good decision, both the communities should stand by it and both should also uphold it. This is the job of the government”

New Delhi: Renowned poet Munawwar Rana made headlines with his statement regarding the return of CM Yogi Adityanath to power in the recently concluded assembly elections. Rana had vowed that he will leave Uttar Pradesh and go away if Yogi’s government is formed again in the state.

His announcement had heated the political atmosphere in the heartland. However, ever since the return of the Yogi government with a majestic win, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, the poet is being brutally trolled with Netizens asking him about when Rana is planning to leave the state on a daily basis.

Some users on social media even offered to buy train tickets for him. The poet has been a constant source of thousands of sarcastic and hilarious memes on the microblogging site Twitter ever since BJP’s giant win in the polls last month.

Meanwhile, in the recent development, Rana has finally opened up about his reason for not leaving the state yet.

In a conversation with a Hindi news daily, Munawwar said that his health is not good, which is why he is not able to leave UP. Apart from providing a reason for not leaving the state, Munawwar Rana also built heaps of praises for the Yogi government.

Appreciating the Yogi government’s take on the loudspeaker controversy, Munawwar Rana said, “It is a good decision, both the communities should stand by it and both should also uphold it. This is the job of the government. In many mosques, there is a loud azaan that causes trouble, similarly to Hanuman Chalisa, that is also painful, obviously if the prayer turns into noise, it is not worship, it is disturbing”.

Previously, Rana had shared a picture of CM Yogi on Twitter, where he was seen taking blessings by touching his mother’s feet. Adding a caption to the adorable pic, Rana wrote, “I wish to be an angel again, to cling to my mother in such a way that I become a child”.
