
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother, Heeraben Modi, has been admitted to a hospital in a serious condition. Heeraben Modi, aged 100, was admitted to the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology & Research Centre in Ahmedabad and as per the hospital, her condition is now stable. PM Modi also reached Ahmedabad to meet his mother in the hospital.

Who is Heeraben Modi?
Heeraben Modi is the mother of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She turned 100 in June this year. She has many times made it to the headlines, including recently when she cast her vote in the Assembly elections in Gujarat. Heeraben was born on 18 June 1922 in Mehsana, Gujarat. She married Damodardas Mulchand Modi, who was a tea seller. PM Modi calls her the pillar of his life.
Heeraben Modi visited PM Modi in May 2016, at his official residence in New Delhi. She has made it to the news on numerous instances including when she stood in queue during demonetisation and when she took the vaccine for Covid-19.
PM Modi’s last meeting with her mother

PM Narendra Modi last met his mother on December 4 before the assembly elections in Gujarat. He visited his mother’s house in Gandhinagar to seek blessings before the elections. After the meeting, PM joined his party leaders while Heeraben cast vote on December 5 with the family members.
PM Modi has been seen being emotional when he talks about her mother. Even in a famous interview with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, PM was seen in an emotional state when he talked about his mother. He also penned a heartwarming note on her 100th birthday.
