Bihar students agitation: Who is Khan Sir? Why is he trending on Twitter? Know here

The hashtag in the name of Khan sir is trending on Twitter since the news came that Bihar police has registered an FIR against him.

New Delhi: A day after students protests against alleged discrepancy in Railway Recruitment examinations unleashed mayhem on Patna streets, hashtag in name of Khan sir is trending on Twitter since morning. Khan Sir is a famous YouTuber known for running coaching classes for competitive exams via digital mode. Following the violence & arson, he is in the eye of storm for alleged role in inciting vioelnce. Bihar police has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against him for allegedly instigating students to to agitate on the streets if the RRB NTPC exams were not cancelled. The police action came after this video went viral on social media.

The alleged incitement led to widespread violence by students and resulted in vandalisation of public property. When reports of his involvement appeared, he however uploaded a video on YouTube asking students to maintain calm. Khan Sir has been trending since morning but more than his indictment, Twitterati are demanding repeal of FIR against Khan sir.

Students protesting against Railway’s exam

Reportedly, the protest of students was started demanding cancellation of the Railway Recruitment Boards’ Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) examination amid the spike in COVID-19 cases. However, it is alleged in the FIR that Khan sir orchestrated the agitation of students. Moreover, he and his colleague are accused of inciting the students to protest.

The FIR has been lodged in Patna’s Patrakar Nagar police station against Khan sir, 16 students, and some unidentified persons. Reportedly, he has gone underground after the FIR was filed against him.

Who is khan sir?

Khan Sir is a private teacher based in Patna and known for his unique style of teaching. He also runs a YouTube channel namely Khan Sir.
