New Delhi: Swapna Patkar, the estranged wife of Sujit Patkar, a close associate of Sanjay Raut is a witness in the Patra Chawl case linked to Sanjay Raut.
Swapna Patkar’s husband Sujit Patkar, is a business associate of Sanjay Raut.
In a sensational revelations about an audio clip between Swapna and Sanjay Raut, Swapna Patkar, said she was being threatened several times past 18 months.
In the alleged audio clip between Swpana Patkar and MP Sanjay Raut, it is alleged that Shiv Sena MP can be heard using abusive language against a female talking.
Swapna Patkar, has filed a complaint in Vakola Police station. She has written a letter regarding the same to Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Mumbai Commissioner of Police.
Her statement was recorded by the ED after she received the threat letter.
On Sunday, Sanjay Raut was detained after hours of ED’s raid at his residence.
FIR Registered against Sanjay Raut
Meanwhile, an FIR has been lodged against Sanjay Raut for allegedly abusing and threatening Swapna Patkar.
This legal action was taken after an audio clip of Swapna had gone viral in which Sanjay Raut was allegedly heard threatening her.
FIR was registered against him at the Vakola police station under sections 504,506 and 509 of IPC.

Who is Swapna Patkar?
Swapna Patkar, is well known for producing Marathi film ‘Balkadu’, a biopic of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray which was released in 2015.
She is also one of the key witnesses in the Patra Chawl redevelopment case.
Fake PhD degree of Swapna Patkar
This is not the first time that she is in the news, earlier she was arrested on cheating and forgery charges for allegedly obtaining a fake PhD degree in clinical physiology and using it to get a job in a hospital.
According to the documents, Swapna Patkar’s PhD certificate was purportedly issued by the Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur, in 2009 was actually fake.
With the alleged fake degree, she had managed to get an appointment at the hospital as an honorary consultant and was treating people having mental health issues.
