New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi virtually addressed the All India Annual State Ministers’ Conference on Water. As water is a state issue, all states will be deliberating upon the same and developing a vision for 2047 in the two-day conference. The conference features key policymakers discussing “ways to harness water resources for sustainable development”. The conference is being held at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre in Bhopal.
PM Modi said in our constitutional system, the subject of water comes under the states and states’ efforts for water conservation will help the nation in achieving the collective goals. He added that India has made major strides in water security and is working together to build 75 ‘Amrit Sarovars’ in every district. He informed the conference that 25,000 Amrit Sarovars have been constructed now.
