Woman shot at Saket court discharged from hospital: Delhi Police

DCP South Chandan Chowdhary said that four rounds were fired and three bullets hit the woman and one scribe.

New Delhi: The woman shot at Saket court in Delhi was discharged from the hospital and Delhi Police informed the media that she is in stable condition. DCP South Chandan Chowdhary said that four rounds were fired and three bullets hit the woman and one scribe. She informed that both victims are stable and have been discharged.

Addressing the media, DCP South said that there was no lapse in police security, but they will strengthen it.

Talking about the conflict between the accused and the victim, Delhi Police said that an FIR was registered in December in which the victim of today’s incident is accused. The woman, who was shot, had taken money from the person who shot at her today, on the promise of doubling it.

Both of them were at the court related to the financial matter and there are several other cases of fraud against the woman. DCP Chandan Chowdhary said that the man (shooter) was an advocate in Saket court and was in his uniform at the time of the incident.

The woman was shot in the court premises in the morning and was rushed to the hospital by the police force present.

A similar incident occurred at Delhi’s Rohini court in September 2022 where gunmen dressed as lawyers shot at gangster Jitender Maan alias Gogi. The shooters were killed in retaliation by the police personnel. In April 2022, there was another incident of firing at the Rohini court.
