Yogi Govt 2.0: Primary school students receiving Rs 1,200 in accounts for uniform & stationery

As many as 1.92 crore students were enrolled in the School Chalo Abhiyan.  In order to provide free text books, uniforms, sweaters, shoes-socks and school bags, stationery to the students, it was decided to transfer Rs 1200 per student online directly to their accounts. Online identification and enrollment of 2,96,358 differently-abled children was done through efficient technical system. 

Lucknow: On the lines of ‘Padhega India toh Badhega India’, the campaign to provide education to every eligible student has been progressing on a war-footing under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath.

To make quality education accessible to all and make every student future-ready, the government is making numerous efforts to link education with skill development.

1.92 crore students brought back to school

As many as 1.92 crore students were enrolled in the School Chalo Abhiyan.  In order to provide free text books, uniforms, sweaters, shoes-socks and school bags, stationery to the students, it was decided to transfer Rs 1200 per student online directly to their accounts. Online identification and enrollment of 2,96,358 differently-abled children was done through efficient technical system.

Under Operation Kayakalp, infrastructure facilities were ensured in 82 percent primary/upper primary schools.  Learning material and activity based teacher-educator module was developed for one year kindergarten (05 to 06 age group children) under Nipun Bharat Mission.

About 39 new high schools and 14 new inter colleges were constructed in neglected areas.  Operation of 280 new Government Inter Colleges and High Schools was ensured.  41 new inter colleges and 215 government high schools and 77 girls hostel buildings were constructed.  Sanction was given for 60 new inter colleges.  Monitoring of UP Board Exams was done with voice recording at the State Level Control and Monitoring Center.

QR code and logo were installed for the purity of answer sheets in UP board examinations.  ‘Pahunch’ for school mapping, ‘Pankh’ for career counselling, ‘Pragyan’ for e-library, ‘Parakh’ for monitoring, ‘Praveen’ for skill training, ‘Pehchan’ for schools and for resource mapping, ‘Project Alankar’ portal was developed. New standards have been developed for ‘State Teacher Award’ and ‘Chief Minister’s Teacher Award’.

Number of universities increasing

Letter of intent issued for establishment of 15 private universities, work is being done to give letter of intent to 107 others soon.  E-learning parks have been developed in 119 government colleges.  3 new state universities have been established.  The construction work of 78 new government colleges is in progress.  On the other hand, smart classes have been arranged in 87 government colleges.  111 agreements have been signed by 27 universities with national level institutions to improve the educational level.  Availability of scientific and technical books has been ensured in 111 government colleges.

Moreover, Lucknow University, Gorakhpur University and Meerut University have got A+++ rank in NAAC evaluation. MoUs totalling to Rs 01 lakh 58 thousand 027 crore were signed by 74 investors for investment in higher education institutions, due to which 08.84 lakh jobs are likely to be created.  Apart from this, sports infrastructure was developed in 172 government colleges under the Major Dhyan Chand Mission.  At the same time, free online Sanskrit training was arranged at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University.  Major 18 actionable points of National Education Policy-2020 were implemented under Pahal UP.  Also, it was resolved to improve the ranking of 100 colleges.  Employment oriented market oriented courses and internships were conducted in 1000 colleges.

New courses such as Post Graduate Diploma in Geo-informatics was approved in Faculty of Architecture and Planning of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University.  15 incubation centers were established in engineering colleges and institutes of AKTU in the state.  Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur received A grade in NAAC assessment.  New Age Course Data Science and Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Cyber ​​Security and Drone Technology training was conducted in Government Polytechnic Institutes.  Not only this, language labs were established in 89 polytechnics and new smart class rooms in 43 government polytechnics.
