Yogi govt’s gift to minorities: Rs 20,000 aid to be given for marriage of daughters

Financial assistance of Rs 20,000 will be given to poor families of minority community for marrying off their daughters. The state govt has sanctioned Rs 5 crore for marriage of daughters belonging to poor Muslim families in the state.

New Delhi: Announcing Diwali gift to minorities in the state including Muslims, the Yogi government has decided to extend financial assistance for marriage of girls in the community.

Financial assistance of Rs 20,000 will be given to poor families of minority community for marrying off their daughters. The state govt has sanctioned Rs 5 crore for marriage of daughters belonging to poor Muslim families in the state.

Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in the country to offer such financial aid to minority community.

Yogi government has already launched several welfare measures for the upliftment of minority community. This step is yet another addition to list of welfare measures.

Speaking on the audacious move, UP Minority Welfare Minister Mohsin Raza said, “Yogi government is fully dedicated to the welfare of the people of the minority community. The state government has taken this step in this direction. Under this, financial assistance of Rs 20,000 will be given to poor parents for the marriage of daughters.”

“BJP government in the state is working for empowerment of minority community in fields of education, jobs and development. Govt remains strong in its resolve of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” he added.
