New Delhi: Traffic in Bengaluru is something that nobody enjoys dealing with, but it is also true that travel has gotten more comfortable simply because there are cabs available at every intersection. But what if the cost of a single ride is double what it actually is? This appears to be what happened to a consumer who complained on Twitter about the exorbitant costs of a well-known ride-hailing service from his house to the Bengaluru airport. This guy sent screenshots showing the exorbitant cost of flights from Bengaluru to Mumbai.
Rohin Dharmakumar, the CEO of Ken Web, posted the photo on Twitter. The first image displayed the starting price of flights from Bengaluru to Mumbai, which is Rs. 2,058. A taxi ride from Dharmakumar’s house to Kempegowda International Airport may be seen in the second image. In the snapshot provided, the Uber Premier cost $1,713, while the Uber XL cost $2,638 for the same distance. In a post sharing the screenshots, Rohin wrote, “A 1-hour Uber to Bengaluru airport costs 60–130% of the price of a 1.5-hour flight to Mumbai.

Bangalore needs an airport metro, as per netizens.
Rohin Dharmakumar tweeted this article a few days ago, and it has since generated an internet discussion over how expensive Uber fares are. Many commuters approached and voiced their dissatisfaction. Many readers shared their opinions regarding this topic in the comment section and agreed with Rohin. According to one of the customers, Bangalore to Pune airfares are more than twice as expensive as Bangalore to Mumbai flights. “Bangalore needs an airport metro and Gurgaon needs Bangalore weather,” a second person chimed in. Speaking on behalf of the people in the San Francisco Bay area, a third user remarked, “That’s the case everywhere now:)”.

Airport bus fares are around ₹300 max. From MG Road it is less than that. Most travel portals charge a convenience fee of ₹300.
