How to control food cravings

It’s important to manage stress as well as to know whether you are hungry or eating for fun to trick your mind so that you can pass your time.

New Delhi: Cravings are the biggest hindrance in the weight loss journey. Cravings usually get irresistible to control from consuming sugar, chocolates, and unhealthy snacking options it comes usually in many forms.

Undoubtedly eating the food you are craving will make you feel better for that particular time but at the same time, it will slow down your weight loss journey.

People today have so many misconceptions regarding cheat days and cravings. A cheat day doesn’t mean eating your favourite kinds of the meal the whole day it only means eating your favourite food item and following a normal routine.

Now the biggest question here comes how can I control cravings

*By drinking more water- Sometimes we think our body is craving sugar or junk food but it only needs water. When you will consume water it will keep your stomach full and you wouldn’t feel the urge of eating such items.

*Visualising and thinking about the bigger picture- Just focus on your goals. Just imagine your goals where you want to reach and where you will reach obviously you Can’t gain weight overnight but for that situation, it’s important for you to understand and have strong willpower to say a big no yourself by getting disheartened.

*Replacing junk food with good snacks – Usually our best friends for snacks are packets of chips, namkeen, biscuits and lots of chocolates or noodles, and soft drinks. Try to replace these kinds of things with healthy items you can always have Paneer (Cheese), boiled egg removing yellow part of it, makhanas and Fruits are also the other best options.

Some reasons for sugar cravings can be low Blood pressure, sleep-deprived, or nutrition deficiency. Usually, we eat these things in stress or when we are bored too.
