National Doctor’s Day 2022: Here’s how Amul celebrates selfless efforts of doctors with quirky doodle

The doodle features the Amul girl standing right beside an animated version of a doctor.

New Delhi: National Doctor’s Day is celebrated across India to celebrate the selfless efforts put by all doctors and healthcare workers to us and our families in the hour of need. Doctors’ Day also coincides with the birth and death anniversary of the physician and second Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy.

To celebrate the special day, Amul India has paid tribute to all doctors with a cute doodle. The doodle features the Amul girl standing right beside an animated version of a doctor. The doctor can be seen holding a slice of bread covered with butter. The words inscribed in the doodle read, “Doc doc karne lagga. You treat us, we treat you.” Sharing the doodle, Amul wrote the caption as simple as, “Happy Doctor’s Day.”

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted all doctors across India on this special day for playing a major role in saving lives and making the planet healthier. Sharing a video montage with his voice-over detailing the role of doctors, he captioned, “Doctors Day greetings to all hardworking doctors who play a key role in saving lives and making our planet healthier.”

India celebrates Doctor’s Day on July 1 which is organised by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) annually. For years, the government and non-government healthcare organisations have observed National Doctor’s Day to spread awareness of the contributions of doctors.
