No expensive cake, no lavish venue: Ratan Tata celebrates his birthday with cupcake and young employee; WATCH VIDEO

New Delhi: he world-renowned Ratan Tata, the Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons celebrated his 84 years birthday on December 28. However, it is surprising to notice that there was no costly venue, no three-tier cake, but just a small cupcake and wholehearted love.

Ratan Tata received multiple wishes from netizens as well as eminent personalities. But, what made his birthday special was celebrating it with a young employee with a small cupcake. As soon as its shared, the video went viral.

Vaibhav Bhoir, a business development manager of Tata Motor Finance shared a small clip on Linkedin which shows Ratan Tata blowing a candle placed on the cupcake. In the video, Shantanu Naidu, the deputy general manager of RTN Associates can be also seen singing the birthday song and feeding him a part of the cupcake himself.

Bhoir captioned the video as, “Simplicity! Nation’s pride and inspiration to all.”

It is quite surprising as to why Ratan Tata spent his birthday with such a youngster as Shantanu. Notably, Shantanu and Ratan Tata share a perfect mentor-protégé relationship. Shantanu got the job at the Tata Group three years ago after being noticed by Ratan Tata himself. Since then, Shantanu’s fondness for the industrialist soared high.
