And who doesn’t enjoy a good Bollywood tune? A video of an Indian man dancing in a kurta and skirt on the streets of New York recently went viral.
Dancer Jainil Mehta went viral after dancing to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s song Barso Re on TikTok and Instagram. His attire was the reason. Who wouldn’t stand out if they were a man wearing a skirt dancing in a fountain on New York streets?

This was done by Jainil in order to make clothing more inclusive and to encourage males to dress like him. He’s been working on a project called #meninskirts, which is all about wearing clothes that are inclusive. On Instagram, the video of Jainil dancing to Aishwarya’s song has received over 2.35 lakh views and over 24,000 likes.
People congratulated Jainil on his dance video and expressed their admiration for him in the comments. “You are an incredible treat to see,” one user remarked. “Just improved my mood buddy!!” said another person. You’re a stunning individual! I enjoy seeing you perform.”
Everyone in the comments reaffirmed their appreciation for the dancer by using heart emojis to accompany their statements.

That’s not Jainil’s first video to become popular. With 2.54 lakh and 1.76 lakh views, two of his previous reels showcasing him dancing in Times Square became viral. Although the first reel shows him teaching an Indian dance move to a New Yorker based on Madhuri Dixit Nene’s song Ghagra, the second shows him reproducing Madhuri’s steps in Times Square while dressed in a Ghagra. Jainil has over 1.47 lakh Social media followers, and his skirt dance clips are extremely popular.
