A man from Madhya Pradesh build a house replicating the famous Taj Mahal and gifts it to his wife.

New Delhi: When we talk about the monuments of love, the first thing that clicks in our mind is the Taj Mahal, which Shah Jahan gifted to his wife Mumtaz as the token of love. Though most people aspire to build some as magnificent as the Taj Mahal, often fail to due to their beloved. But this time, a man hailing from Madhya Pradesh has proved everybody wrong.

Anand Chokse from Madhya Pradesh’s Burhanpur has built a home that replicates the Taj Mahal and gifted the house to his wife, Manjusha. Anand always thought about the Taj Mahal and wondered why it was not built in his own city.

Reportedly, the house has a large hall, 4 bedrooms, a kitchen, a library, and a meditation room. Besides, just like the Taj Mahal, the house illuminates in the dark as the lighting is done from both inside and outside.

Reportedly, almost three years were needed to build the house as the process of construction was tough and challenging. Anand secured help from Bengal and Indore for the carvings done inside the house. The dome of the house measured 29 feet high and the home also has a Taj Mahal-like tomb.

Moreover, the flooring has been made based on ‘Makrana’ from Rajasthan. Furthermore, the furniture has been made by the artisans of Surat and Mumbai.

Engineer Praveen Chouksey reported that both Anand and his wife Manjusha visited the Taj Mahal at Agra and examined the construction work very closely and asked the engineers to build a house similar to the actual Taj Mahal.
