This basically happens when there is a problem with an individual’s heart’s electrical system, which disrupts your heart’s pumping action and stops blood flow to your body.

Sudden cardiac and heart attack are not the same, also it often occurs with no warning.

  • An inactive lifestyle
  • Diabetes
  • Smoking
  • High blood cholesterol
  • Obesity
  • High blood pressure

Complications of Cardiac arrest

At the time of sudden cardiac arrest occurs, there is a reduced blood flow to the persons brain causing unconsciousness. Sometimes when the heart doesn’t rapidly return to normal, brain damage occurs and can result to a death of the person.

Also, people who have survived cardiac arrest might show signs of brain damage.
