New Delhi: Abu Dhabi T10 league, season seven, has finally got their first two semifinalists in the form of New York Strikers and Morrisville Samp Army.
New York Strikers and Morrisville Samp Army both started their season with a loss but went on to win 5 matches in a row to book their place in the playoffs.
Both the teams have 10 points from 6 matches and will be finishing in the top 2 positions irrespective of other results.
With only three more league stage matches left and 2 more places for the playoffs still up for grabs, the final day of the league stage matches are guaranteed to have intense clashes between the four remaining teams in the race.
Day 9 recap
Day nine of the Abu Dhabi T10 league saw 3 matches being played as per their regular schedule.
In the first match of the day, New York Striker pacer Mohammed Amir wreaked havoc on the Chennai Braves batting line-up, including the 4 wickets maiden over, and stopped them on a small total of 79 for 9.

Despite early hiccups, Strikers chased down the target with 5 wickets and 9 balls to spare and booked their place in the semifinals.
The second match of the day saw the second team confirming their place in the playoffs, as the Morrisville Samp Army defeated the Deccan Gladiators by 6 wickets to confirm their top 2 finish.

Moeen Ali (39*) was the main reason behind Samp Army’s successful chase.
The final match of the day also saw record being broken, as the Northern Warriors defended the lowest total in the history of the Abu Dhabi T10 league when they defended 79 runs against the strong-looking Delhi Bulls side and defeated them by 13 runs to keep their campaign alive.
