New Delhi: BCCI has announced the India squad for the upcoming tour of Bangladesh which is set to start towards the end of the month. India is set to play 2 tests and 3 T20Is in the upcoming tour.
It will be the first Test match for the left-hand wicket-keeper batsman Rishab Pant who is making a comeback after that horrific incident which had put brakes on the cricketing career of Pant. Meanwhile, Yash Dayal also received his maiden call after knocking on the doors of the selectors with his consistent performance in the domestic circuit.
On the other hand, Rohit Sharma will be leading the side in the upcoming series. The Bangladesh series was the last test series where Pant played his second and Final test in Bangladesh at Mirpur from December 22, 2022, before meeting with that fatal accident on December 30.

Fans will be able to watch Virat Kohli as well who missed the 5-match test series against England earlier at home this year. The test series will also see the inauguration of the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior. The venue was confirmed by the BCCI in a recent statement-

However, fast bowler Mohammed Shami failed to make it to the Test side even though it was anticipated that the right-arm fast bowler was making a comeback to the test arena.
